Hungarian Meteorological Service, in cooperation with Institute of Transport Sciences and Hungarian Central Statistical Office, has compiled a gridded emissions database for air pollutants for 2019 with a resolution of 0.1 x 0.1 degrees, as required by the reporting guidelines. The methodology for the gridded representation of emissions was based on the latest EMEP/EEA guidance on emission inventories of air pollutants.

The spatial distribution of air pollutant emissions by sector is illustrated in the maps below.
